Weekend in the Lake District
We grabbed the opportunity to have a couple of days around Keswick as the forecast was excellent
It really was spectacular. Cold days with hard frosts and really clear air. It was fantastic to see so much snow on the tops and some fairly still water for a change. We didn’t get anything which is going to break any new ground in the world of stunning landscapes but we did have a gentle walk around Derwentwater just holding a “staff ideas meeting” on the way around. We continued our meeting in the Dog n Gun when we got back to Keswick and that’s always a good move. Sometimes you can just get too close to your business and you need to get away for some fresh inspiration. You can’t help relax and that’s often just what you need to free your mind up for fresh ideas.
We did grab a few shots and I even got out of bed a bit earlier on the morning we left to grab some images. All picture postcard stuff really and very different to people photography but well worth doing to keep stretching those creative muscles.
