A year ago Dave being the romantic soul he is asked us to make sure we were free to shoot on their wedding anniversary

No problem we said.  After-all a year is a long way off but it seemed to fly by and before we knew it, we were making plans.  Dave wanted to celebrate the anniversary of his wedding to Emma by revisiting the place where he proposed to her.  No problem we said, we’d love to go down to the beach.  What we didn’t expect was the hottest day of the year and the beach to be jam packed with families enjoying themselves.  You’d expect Emma to be a little self conscious, wearing her wedding dress surrounded by people throwing beach balls and making sandcastles.  She was fine though and we decided that we just had to be bold and go for it.  So we set about trying to command an area of the beach and hey presto, people started to give us a little space to work in.  The odd dog came up to investigate but we quickly worked around that and got on with things.  A glass of champagne didn’t go down too badly either when they retired to a picnic spot overlooking the beach.  We left them alone for a few hours to enjoy their time together but met up with them again in the evening when they were out for a celebratory meal at the Hilton which has fantastic views overlooking the Tyne.  A great end to their day.
