We were recently asked to photograph the interior of the Express Group offices

Why?  Because the interior designer , Gillian Leese, was quite rightly very proud of her work and she wanted to record it.  She had worked with Paul Lamb of Optima Construction on the project and between them they had produced something really special.  We didn’t know what to expect when we arrived as from the outside the Express Group looked like many other offices in the area.  However, once inside it was clear that a bit of magic had been worked.  What an interior.  Chris Thompson, the Group CEO of Express group was very proud of the finished result and despite his busy schedule he was very happy to accommodate us as we moved things around to get certain angles.  He even cleared up a few papers on his desk for us although it was one of the tidiest I have seen before he started!  The shoot wasn’t without its challenges though.  A lot of reflective surfaces and it was almost impossible to stay out of the shot.  We also had a variety of different light sources to contend with but this played into our hands as Gillian had requested a very clean, bright look to the shots.  However, we managed it and everyone was happy with the result.  That’s the good thing about being a photographer.  One day a model - the next it’s an office.  A new challenge every day!_61f7253_4_5_6_7-edit_61f7299_300_301_302_303-edit
