Beamish Hall - Colin & Rachel’s Wedding
Colin & Rachel are two people who just belong together and it just shines through.
They’d planned a Winter wedding at the fantastic Beamish Hall in County Durham just a few days before Christmas and wanted to make it a party to remember for their friends. We were delighted that they had asked us to be part of their day and couldn’t wait to get started. The heavy snow was a real bonus although it did make it a little difficult for a few of the guests to get there. They have two young boys Alex and Max, who are real characters and were going to be a big part of the day with Alex doing a reading through the service and Max taking on the duties of the ring bearer.
Rachel looked stunning as she came down the aisle and the look on Colin’s face said it all really. He didn’t scrub up too badly either! We went straight out into the snow to catch the last of the fading light and the boys went wild. There was no chance of composing any formal shots so we just incorporated them into the images hopefully capturing a little bit of light hearted madness. It was exactly what Rachel and Colin wanted and we haven’t stopped laughing at the boys antics since.
Those guests who did make it through the snow started arriving and before long the evening party was in full swing in the appropriately named Winter Gardens. Santa arrived for the kids and the singing waiters were a real hit fooling everyone until they burst into song. The evening was fantastic and went on well into the early hours of the next day. A great couple and a lovely family with a fantastic future in front of them.
